NGATA Cholarship

NATIONAL GUARD ASSOCIATION OF TENNESSEE AUXILIARY

Eligibility is extended to any spouse of a member of the Tennessee National Guard. The
spouse must be enrolled or have plans to enroll in an accredited college, university, or
other educational institution. Preference will be given, but not limited to, members of the
Auxiliary. The scholarship of $1,000.00 will be awarded for one year and selection will
be made by the NGATA Scholarship Committee. Scholarship money will be sent
directly to the college, university, or educational institution you are enrolled in. Deadline
each year is 31 MAY.

Any application for scholarship assistance from the National Guard Association of
Tennessee Auxiliary must include:
1. A personal statement stating your reason for requesting the scholarship, your
educational and career goals, and how this award can help you attain these goals.
2. A copy of marriage certificate
3. Two letters of recommendation (preferably from the unit's Family Readiness
representative and spouse's Commander)
4. A copy of latest college transcript, if applicable.
