Youth Lock-in Published June 11, 2010 By Betty Gaskins 164 Family Readiness Memphis, TN -- The Youth Development Lock-In sponsored by the Family Program Office on February 26 was a big success! 16 of our guard children attended the overnight lock-in which was held in the base dining facility. The event was staffed by Betty Gaskins Wing Family Program Coordinator, Paige Major State Youth Coordinator, Mary Frances Griffin with Our Military Kids, Donna Douglas and Stephanie Price 164th Family Readiness Group officers, SSgt Bob Douglas, Amn Lana Applegarth, and assistance from MSgt Malcolm Gilbert and MSgt Nancy Hall. Two members of the Army National Guard's Drug Reduction Team were on hand for a couple of hours with some fun and educational team building activities. The children enjoyed a pizza party, played games, enjoyed craft activities and watched a movie. Everyone really had a lot of fun and got to make some new friends.
